TAKING
CARE OF YOUR NEW TATTOO
Your
health, safety and satisfaction is my #1 concern
The first
day of a New Tattoo
-
Apply a
small amount of ointment (A & D, Bacitracin, Triple Antibiotic or
Neosporin), with clean hands.
DO NOT USE VASELINE!
Any ointment that contains petroleum such as Vaseline (petroleum
jelly) can cause rashes, failure to heal and doesn't let your
skin breath. For the following days, apply ointment 2x per
day.
-
Let the
air get to the tattoo as much as possible. If it is necessary
to cover with clothing, do not wear any synthetic clothing (nylon,
polyester, etc.), wear and or cover the tattoo with only
natural fibers such as cotton.
-
Important: To avoid infection, you should only wear and or use
freshly laundered clothes, sheets, pajamas, and towels until the
initial healing is complete. Change your towel daily for at
least the first two weeks.
The Day(s)
after receiving your tattoos
-
Use
ointment for 2-3 days, twice a day. When applying it,
use a very small amount (if it is glossy, wipe excess off with a
tissue to allow the new skin to breath).
Things to
avoid with your new tattoo
-
Avoid direct sunlight,
tanning, swimming, spas & soaking
for approximately 2 weeks or until tattoo is healed. Please do
the rest of us a favor and shower! Your tattoo is a like
newborn baby - treat it with respect and it will look great for a
lifetime! If you expose it to SUN, CHLORINE and LONG SOAKS, it
will fade almost immediately!

Congratulations on your new tattoo! Enjoy and if you have any
question, please do not hesitate to contact me.
